Using the example of neuropsychological testing of Hispanics (including death penalty situations), Dr. Puente reviews the growing disparity between professional psychology in the US with the demographics of the population it seeks to understand and serve; explores how the increasing disparity can result in a series of clinical and ethical challenges ranging from misdiagnosing to questions of professional competence; and present mitigation strategies when faced with these challenges.
