Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists

Applying for a new license or reinstating as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (PLP), or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) is a fully online process. Applicants for these license types must apply through the LSBEP Online Licensing Portal.

The Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) application process is currently paper-based and is not submitted through the Online Licensing Portal. LPA applicants must submit the required application forms and supporting documentation in accordance with the instructions provided on the LPA application page.

In addition to full licensure, applicants for LP, PLP, and LSSP may request a Temporary Registration or Emergency Temporary Registration through the same portal.
